Burkhardt Siebert, Co-President and Delegate-General

A member of the Executive Committee (ExCom) and Delegate-General, Burkhardt Siebert is director of the Europa-Haus Marienberg, a foundation under public law with headquarters in 56470 Bad Marienberg. Homepage:
www.europa-haus-marienberg.de. Established in 1951, Europa-Haus Marienberg serves as the parent house for more than 120 institutions in more than 30 European countries. In over 100 conferences annually of several days' duration, Europa-Haus Marienberg deals with issues of European integration and development cooperation. Alongside international summer academies for specialised studies, Europa-Haus Marienberg provides in collaboration with the Global Cooperation Council training workshops for young journalists.

Burkhardt Siebert has devoted the last 35 years to European policy and education, particularly in Germany and the reform states of central Europe. The amplitude of the honorary posts, university teaching positions and guest professorships he holds, underlines the significance and impact of his activities in the interest of Europe. These encompass his actions for the benefit of the European Commission within the framework of Groupeuro and Team Europe. Siebert is profoundly committed to encouraging young people take participate in training workshops that would enable them take up executive jobs later – in Germany and abroad
